Michael Madsen Confirms Vega Brothers Movie
The rumor of a Vega Brothers (Vincent, from Pulp Fiction, and Vic (Mr. Blonde) from Reservoir Dogs) movie has been around a while and usually dismissed as impossible because it would be a prequel and both Madsen and Travolta are too old looking to pull it off. Well, Madsen says differently:
“All I can say is Quentin wants to make The Vega Brothers. He already has it in his head. But it has to be soon. Maybe next year? It will be set in Amsterdam.”
If it is made next year, it would have to be after Inglorious Bastards because that is apparently next in line for Quentin.

u sure bout that cause i read an interview with QT and he sed it was bullshit and all over the tarantino.info page it is bullshit as well, so i dun think they r making one even tho i would definately love to see it made, great characters amaizin stories LOVE to see it !

This is not true. I went to the San Diego Comic Con. Madsen made similar statements about there being a Vega Bros movie, but when QT showed up he set Madsen straight.
Madsen actually (jokingly) asked the question “What about that Vega Bros movie?” during QT’s Q and A session. QT said that the two actors are too old to play the roles now, he looked at DOGS just before doing the Con, and he was surprised at how young they were. He said, that he had a really good idea for the movie, but that there is no point in making it and that he has moved on. Poor Madsen, could only say, that he doesn’t feel young/

I think this movie would be good, but kinda messed up. I mean, most of the characters in ‘Pulp Fiction’ and ‘Reservoir Dogs’ were played by the same actors. For example, Harvey Keitel played both Mr. White in ‘Reservoir Dogs’ and The Wolf in ‘Pulp Fiction.’ Plus, I agree with the age thing, too. Both Michael Madsen and John Travolta are way the hell to old now to make a movie that takes place before ‘Reservoir Dogs.’ Besides, John Travolta’s neck is HUGE. But, other than that, I say go for it, Quentin.

Yeah yeah yeah… so fucking what if travolta and madison are too old? Jobobladi is right! it would be a cultural phenomenon!! I’m sure there will be massive criticism about it… but when has there not been any critiques about something tarintino does? I can’t beleive I haven’t even thought about the concept of a Vega brothers movie!! There is absolutly no doubt that Mr.Blonde and Vincent are two of QT’s most popular and honered characters!! too old.. SCREW THAT!! I mean if fucking george lucas can put crusty, old, harrison ford in another Idiana Jones role? then why not Vic and Vince?

well when u think about it.. the other actors in the other movies wouldnt make a diffrence… for example that one guy was the wolf in pulp and some one eles in RD well in RD the chraracters did not know any thing about each other.. and in Pulp Fiction that was the first time he had ever seen the wolf.. so really.. so that means that was the first time the Vega bros whold have seen the wolf or mr white…. meaning if this is a prequil thn Neither of those characters would be involoved in the story to the vega bros.. that is if they make the movie.. i Say make it.. and it will kick soo much ass…

What about Jules and Mr pink, I mean come on it would make the perfect mismatched buddy movie. First There’s the contrast of character, Mr Pink being totally hyper and Jules who’s like Mr cool and it would be great because it’s a sequel. It could start of following Jules’

only do the film,to nobody it matters if they are old . this don’t care…everybody could watch the movie,for the history and the characters,and not by the wrinkles in the face of Madsen and Travolta.

Hey everyone, I just discovered this amazing site a few hours ago…
I just wanted to ask everyone here, with absolutely no offense intended, did you all see the films with the Vega’s brother in them ???????
As another article clearly points out, and a fact which is EXPLICITELY in these two films, Resevoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction, the Vega’s brother’s both get shot dead in both films….
Hence making it a definitely impossible film to make, for all too obvious reasons….
I’m quite surprised you all got hooked into believing that rumor.
Plus, they mean to say that they are too old looking for the sheer fact that making a film prior to their respective assasinations unplausible, and I truly believe Quentin has too much perfectionism as a director to make a gross error like casting these characters in a pre-murdered setting….

In response to the previous entry, pay attention dumb dumb, the whole point is that it is a PREQUEL, do you understand the term? If not, allow me to elaborate, this film would take place BEFORE those films ever did. Hence the talk of the actors being too old. I say fuck it, tarantino fans will gladly look past that minor defect if QT wants to do it. We will gladly stand behind any decision he makes, because its quite obvious who the genius is (and its not us, face it). Someone said make it into a novel, i think thats a stellar idea.

Alright, here it is. QT has alot of rumored projects on his plate. And I know we are all big fans and anticipate projects that we can all study and puzzle over for years.
The simple fact is, none of you will influence anything, and if the best thing you have to do is argue over gossip’s gossip instead of writing your own kick-ass screenplay, then i guess you deserve to be QT’s bitch.

Quentin should make an animated Vega Brothers movie (like that anime Kill Bill scene) with John and Micheal’s voice acting! That way there wouldn’t be any age problems. Tarantino hasn’t directed any full-lenght anime movie yet, so this could add something new and interesting to his “line of movies”.I’m sur he’s a fan of the anime thing. – Someguy wearing a brown t-shirt

Actually the Anime idea is not bad at all, I personally loved the secuence in Kill Bill, a feature styled that way would be great. We all want to see the Vega Bros Movie!, I think it wouldn’t work with old Travolta and Madsen although I would spend money in that and support it. But we can have them design on paper and with their cool voices and awsome anime styled feature we can be more than passionate about it.

I love the idea of a Vega Brothers movie, however all these problems mentioned get in the way.
What do you guys think about Quentin making a different movie with Travolta & Madsen?
Does it have to be Vince and Vic?
Hell I sure as hell would pay money just to see T and M on screen togeather.

I didn`t really like the Anime scene in Kill Bill (thought it was a little
choppy)
But a better animation might make it (VEGA BROS.)
