Kill Bill Volume 2 Delayed
The theatrical release date for Kill Bill Volume 2 has officially been pushed back to April 16th, 2004 in the US. It was originally scneduled for a February release. Rumor is, its worldwide opening may be at the Cannes Film Festival.
UPDATE: FoxNews has Quentin’s explanation of the delay:
Tarantino told me that we will not be seeing “Kill Bill: Vol. 2″ until April instead of the planned February release. “To make that date I would have had to come back from promoting ['Vol. 1'] and go right back into editing,” he said. “I had to take a break.”

There seems to be two recurring arguments in this forum: “Tarentino owes us better,” and “Tarentino knows best.” I don’t buy either one. Unless you know him personally, he owes you shit. Did you bum him a cigarrette at a party? Did you change his tire once? Great, then tell him to release Kill Bill in February as planned. Otherwise shut up and wait patiently.
Of course the “Tarentino knows best” argument is just as bogus. You think its coincidence that his “break” moved the release of Volume 2 from mid-February to TWO DAYS AFTER Volume 1 is released on video? Please. Tarentino is a great writer and director; but deep down inside he’s still human and I’m sure a bit of a greedy Hollywood type (at the least Miramax definately is). Volume 2 is being released late to make someone a lot of money, not because “Q” needed a break.

Hey, I can wait for Vol. 2. It’ll be that much more sweet when I finally see for the first time (and second, third, fourth, etc. times). Chill out and enjoy the anticipation. It’ll be worth it.

Well, I think it’s crap that it’s not coming out until April. The winter sucks big time and I was really looking forward to seeing this in Feb. I also am pissed that it’s not on 1 dvd.

He’s a fucking genoius. I mean there is no technical reason for the delay, but his trying to ride us on the cliff hanger until we start crying and begging him for it to end. It creates a more enjoyable experience at the movies. But that’s just my opnion

I was so excited that kill bill 2 was going to come out then i saw on this site that its not! Fuck it is a long time to wait but what can we do. At least we dont have to wait years like star wars!

just try to pace yourselves people! watch the old ones one a month until the new one comes out. the reason you’re so frustrated is that you watched the first one, what, 15 (!) times in a couple of months! calm down!
