Kill Bill .5?
To go along with Tarantino’s talk of a sequel to Kill Bill in 15 years, he’s also floating the idea of an animated prequel to Kill Bill:
… focus on the three men – pimp Estebian Vihaio and martial arts masters Hattori Hanzo and Pei Mai
This same little IMDB article mentions that Quentin will be directing a portion of Robert Rodriguez’s next film, Sin City. In order for that to happen, Rodriguez actually had to resign from the Director’s Guild because of an arcane rule about one director, one film. [Hat tip to Eric for the Rodriguez story]

Good for Rodriguez. Stick it to the man. Though it is sad about Paramount only being able to have projects that must be certified by the DGA. Sometimes it’s a pity that cinema is more about the buisness rather than the movies.

The 1 director per film rule is mostly to protect new filmmakers so they don’t get screwed out of their own movies by big studios.

Kill Bill prequel is definitely works because you might want to go further behind of how these people came about. Before the Bride is introduced to be a perfect assassin. I think live action be better than animation because alot of people like it and don’t like it, for me either way might be fine, but i’m looking forward to live-action. Much more fun to watch it in that version.

Yeah, but I think there was stuff deleted from the original script . .like the scene with Michael Jai White .. and does anyone know if Go Go’s sister Yuki is actually in volume 2 or was that scrapped????

Hisham, Volume 2 starts with “Can she bake a cherry pie” in the script. Yuki was, in fact, scrapped so that chapter is gone. But Hisham, I found out from this dude that saw it in Austin that the movie actually starts with the monolouge The Bride makes in the Vol. 2 teaser, then goes into the wedding scene (not in the original script), THEN goes to “Can she bake a cherry pie”.

-The screenplay of True Romance was originally a part of another very long screenplay that was written by Tarantino and Roger Avary. The other half of it was used for the film Natural Born Killers.- Does anyone have any info on this? I was just curious when i read it. So I thought i would ask for help on the back story of how this became and what not. Sorry for bothering and messing with the flow of this post. Any help would be appreciated.

“Sin City” will be apparently be co-directed by Frank Miller [who created the comic the movie is based on]and the “co” directing credit was the reason for the resignation….thus bodes the question, will there be three directors involved in this film?

Maybe because the movie is supposed to be about Nikki the daughter of Vernita Green getting revenge on The Bride. And wants Uma to be the right age of what the Nikki character will be when she tries to get her revenge.

I dont think the daughter would want revenge on The Bride because at the end of vol. 2 there all nice and happy because the bride got her daughter back and the little girl has a mom sure she did kill her father but , he deserved it

He was talking about vernita green’s daughter, not the bride’s. For those who dont remeber, vernita is the first person uma kills (in the movie) she is second on her hitlist.
