Tarantino Still Talking Up Bond Movie
Regular readers of this site won’t be suprised, but Quentin is continuing to push for the opportunity to make Casino Royale into a film. Not shockingly, he also wants to cast Uma as a Bond girl.
Tarantino says his adaptation of Casino Royale would remain very loyal to the original Ian Fleming book.

I so want this to happen. I can’t wait til Tarantino works with Uma again.
However, I’m sure the movie will be just another Bond movie unless he also gets to write it.

If he only gets to write the dialogue I would be infinitely happy. His directing skills are excellent but his writing skills are even better.
This had better happen. seriously.

This one is bothering me a little, as most Bond movies deal with the triumph of good over some clich

this would be a great movie idea if and only if it’s set in the 1950′s or 60′s. The 2004 bond doesn’t work for me anymore and is a dead idea. I think we should go back and do classic bond type charactors but with modern special effects and technology.
Ewan McGregor would make a killer 50′s 60′s bond.

I think that instead of getting the rights to the Bond franchise, Qt should do his take on spy movies in general. Similar to what Kill Bill did with classic kung fu movies.

i agree with what Joebuck said. Ewan McGregor has the 60′s way of life down. actually i could see leo decaprio playing the part too. he always seems to play the old time suave ladies man kind of guy.

Before seeing Gangs of Newyork i would have called Sam a dumbass. But, Leo just might make it work as far as being tough. And movies like Catch me if you Can show that he can protray a ladies man. However, I still can’t see him as a Bond though.
