Inglorious Bastards DELAYED!?
This’ll come as a shock to everybody, but Tarantino has told Total Film Mazine that Inglorious Bastards is not next on his list of projects, and that he intends to make a kung-fu film shot in Mandarin. Here are the QT quotes:
“My next movie is gonna be another kung fu that’s gonna blow your asses off. Everyone still thinks I’m doing Inglorious Bastards next but before I do I want to do something much smaller,” Tarantino said.
“The next movie will be in Mandarin. I enjoyed shooting all the Japanese stuff in Kill Bill so much that this whole film will be entirely in Mandarin.
“If you’re not up to watching it with subtitles, I really want to do a full-on dubbed version. Maybe shooting two Kill Bill movies has spoiled me but fuck it – sue me.”
Maybe this is bullshit, though it wouldn’t really suprise me if it was true. The Total Film forum doesn’t have anything posted about this story just yet. The story has been picked up by loads of news sites though.

Listen man, the only real movies that belong on that list are r. dogs, pulp fiction, jackie brown and kill bill. Of them, kill bill was a homage movie (admittedly great one at that) and j. brown was based off of a book. That leaves two creative films, none since 1994. How can a guy be considered as one of the greats when this is the case? Listen, the guy’s unbelievable, my favorite, but he needs to get cracking.

ok, i loved pulp and res’ and enjoyed evry movie so far so im likely to enjoy this one… if its in madarin let it be its better this than him rushing inglorious bastards or Vega Brothers and the whole theft of pai mai and Hitori Hanzo was the whole part of the story!! besides this is what tarrantino does best, Suprises us with something New…soo if he does this think what he’l do with Casino Royal? think people think!!

Wow NaDz, that was an amazing run-on sentence. Listen, I don’t think I even care anymore, just as long as he does something. But, I urge all of you to be wary of putting too much faith in QT’s essentially unproven artistic “genius”.

I love tarantino and his work, he’s great and i respect what he has to offer. I just say we wait and see because before J. brown…people speculated, before Pulp Fiction…people speculated, before kill bill 1 and 2…all the people did was speculate and he shocked us all…i’m sure he’ll do it again. possitive.

Yes, QT’s films pay homage to certain genres (even Pulp Fiction had a 1970′s kind of feel to it), BUT in paying homage QT has made his own genre. Certainly there are ellements of Kill Bill 1 & 2 that reflect other genres, but still I can’t really say that I’ve ever seen anything quite like it before. QT gets better with each fill. IB will certainly be brilliant. If in the meantime QT wants to make a small Mandarin language film, he should. It’s his art. We’re just lucky patrons of his gallery. I can’t wait to see both IB and the “Untitled Quentin Tarantino Project

Hero was the best movie ever! Quentin did a great job and it is totally original. I love his work and I heard his next film will have Shaq as the star.
