Could it be that Tarantino’s kung fu film will be a remake of The 36th Chamber of Shaolin? Thats what it seems to appear that QT’s intentions were back in October of 2003.

According to Hong Kong paper Oriental Daily, Quentin Tarantino is thinking about doing a remake of The 36th Chamber of Shaolin, one of his favorite Shaw Brothers’ classics. … According to the paper, Shaw Brothers has asked Quentin to do the remake and he has agreed. But it would not be possible until 2006 according to his schedule.

Maybe, but this is pretty old (Oct 03 with mention of Tarantino’s thoughts from a year prior). So far though, its the best info I’ve seen on what might be planned. (pulled from the Forum)
