Madsen Leaks Inglorious Bastards Details

Michael Madsen has spilled the beans on Inglorious Bastards. Apparently, the script is complete, and filming is supposed to begin later this year.

Madsen also dropped a few names as folks already cast:
Michael Madsen (of course)
Adam Sandler (long rumored – QT and he are pals)
Tim Roth (first I’ve heard, but not suprising
Eddie Murphy (say what?)

I certainly didn’t see Eddie Murphy coming, and considering he’s done pretty much nothing but kids movies for the past few years I figured he’d taken himself out of the serious movie game. But, I think he’s actually a great choice. Because of his stand-up comedy roots, he’s great at the kind of on-screen conversational banter that QT loves to write.

I’m glad that Adam Sandler and Eddie Murphy are getting a chance to break away from their usual idiot/kiddie roles and display their talents. And of course, I look foreward to seeing Michael and Tim; two of my favorite actors ever. Just when I thought I had a hard time waiting for Inglorious Bastards…

I agree with Gee Gee. Adam and Eddie need to do a good film with a great director. And Tim Roth is a great choice. I have been watching four rooms lately and really liking Tim Roth’s acting. I just hope Tim has a bigger part than he did in Pulp Fiction. Even though he was important because he was the robber. I hope he has a main character part. Like he did in four rooms.

Ah, what a breath of fresh air! I am so glad to hear that the script is done and filming should begin later this year ( I soooo hope it’s true )! On the casting, Sandler, Roth and Madsen are great. Eddie Murphy? Too soon to tell for me, but I will give him some faith because I know Tarantino always brings out the best in actors. I really want Bruce Willis in this one as well though!

aww man!!! that would be awesome! eddie murphy is freaking hilarious, and QT could definately bring out the humor in him. i can already hear some pulp fiction-esque dialogue coming from murphy. it’s gonna be sweet.

Murphy’s career has been at the lowest of the low for the past decade…so i’m figuring that he really needs a great director like Qt to pimp slap the funny back into him. I am truly loving this cast, but it wouldn’t be perfect without Bruce Willis and Samuel L. In Tarantino we trust.

Although I love Samuel L. Jackson and would want him to be in almost every movie, I don’t know ( and I may be 100% wrong on this, but oh well ) if Tarantino would have two black stars play main characters, especially since most WWII movies have mostly white casts. But if he can fit them both in, more power to him.

I hear ya. I ain’t getting my hopes up either. I want to see all those guys, no doubt, but I really would love to see Stallone and Willis in there.

i just want him to hurry up. i’m not trying to be ungrateful or anything, but he’s the best writer/director of our time and i want him to make as many films as he can. didn’t he say that he’s gonna retire at 50 or 60?

Okay, my mouth is wide open! I sense this movie will most likely be his best even though it’s tough to say which is his best. In my opinion, the peeps that are signed to play in inglorious bastards is plain fantastic! I have no doubts what’s so ever about this next project because QT can never miss and never will miss, and all I can say for right now is that I’m shitting bricks waiting for this movie to come about!

I wouldn’t take anything Madsen has to say to the bank. Between doing Ike Turner impersonations on the nearest female and trying to find the bottom of a bottle of Beam…..he is just lookin for some press that gets him known for something besides Boozin and Bruisin.
However, on the flip side, Madsen does kicks ass in every roll he takes for QT, some people bring out the best in others. Budd a.k.a “Sidewinder” is one cold hearted hombre.

Eddie Murphy in Inglorious Bastards is like John Travolta en Pulp Fiction.
QT shows lots of imagination and creativity when choosing actors.
