Tarantino To Make ‘Grind House’
Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez are going to write and direct a horror film called Grind House.
Miramax Films golden children Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez are teaming up to make a film for the new company established by the studio’s founders, Bob and Harvey Weinstein.
Tarantino and Rodriguez will each write and direct a 60-minute horror film, and the two films will be packaged under the title ‘Grind House’, which is planned for a spring 2006 release through the Weinstein Co.
Tarantino says that this could be the first in a series of films. No official word on what this does to the timeline for getting Inglorious Bastards finished – but I smell a delay.

wait, if all the weapons in the pawn shop were from a different cult film, what was the hammer from? And i’m pretty sure the sword was not Hotorri Hanza, it didn’t look fancy enough

I never knew if it was a hattori hanzo sword or not. Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill aren’t even in the same universe.

Is Quentin in Kill Bill? Because I never noticed him in there.

No, although he was originally going to play Pai Mei. Thank God he backed out, no offense to him. He just isn’t Asian, lol.

Do you mean the film ‘Jules et Jim’ – a French comedy from the 50′s?

The sword in PF is not the Hanzo sword. 1) It doesnt take place in the Movie Movie Universe 2) Look at the sword, its a piece of junk. haha.
I dont know what movie the hammer is referencing.
Jackie Brown WAS inspired by Foxy Brown, Pam Griers follow up to her other Blaxploitation hit: Coffy. Check them out if you havent already, they are awesome.
Jules and Jimmy could be a reference to Francois Truffauts 60s French New Wave romantic comedy Jules Et Jim, but I dont know if QT has said that for sure.
QT is in Kill Bill. He is one of the dead/maimed Crazy 88s lying on the floor in the big bloody House of Blue Leaves aftermath when The Bride is telling them to leave their limbs behind.
Ive heard that Budd’s name comes from one of QTS favorite dire ctors Budd Boetticher.
Elle Drivers name comes from a girl who worked on the documentary about From Dusk Til Dawn: Full Tilt Boogie. Her name is Sarah L. Driver.
Sheriff McGraw (Michael Parks) is in From Dusk Til Dawn and Kill Bill.
Theres tons of co nnections. Do we want this post to reach 1000? haha. “ˇ

I just came into my living room when one of my cats stepped on the remote and turned it to Nickelodeon. They turned it to Jimmy Neutron. On that episode, there were in a writing contest and whoever wrote the best screenplay got to direct a movie with a famous director. And the famous director was named Quentin Smithee and he looked just Quentin Tarantino. I laughed my ass off.

That is pretty funny and awesome, but are you sure the cat stepped on the remote or were you just watching it? lol

Aw man I don’t know who still watches Saturday Night Live besides me but there was one episode of the fake “Sharon Osbourne” show where Fred Armisen does a dead-on Tarantino. Norm MacDonald also does an awesome impression, does anyone by any chance know where either of these can be found online?

Did anybody see the SNL show a while back where they had a Quentin Tarantino version of Welcome Back Kotter. It is hilarious. In the end it has Steve Buschemi int it. It is hilarious. John Travolta ties up the principal and pours galoline on him and is going to cut his ear off. It is hilarious.

“I’ve got a big head okayyyy? I don’t mean I have a big ego alriiight, I mean I got a HUGE head okayyy?” – Norm as QT
I loved the skit of QT’s Welcome Back Kotter, that was hilarious!
Barbarino: Up your nose with a rubbber hose!
Squiggy: Oh yeah? Well up your gizzard with a rubber lizard!
Mr. Pink: UP YOUR HOLE WITH A MELLOW ROLL!!

A lot of you probably alread know this, but i’ll say it anyway. There was an episode of the simpsons where there was an itchy and scratchy episode called Reservoir Cats. on this episode, you see ithcy dancing around scratchy (they’re both wearing suits)while listening to stuck in the middle with you, and he’s pouring gas all over scratchy, then he pulls a razor out and cuts his ear off. the Quentin Tarantino comes out and says something like “What I’m trying to say with this cartoon is that violence is everywhere. It’s, like, even in our breakfast cereal, man” Then itchy cuts his head off, but anyway, that’s where he got the idea for the gun in the Kaboom cereal in Kill Bill

In Jackie Brown what is the music that backs the scene when you see the plane flying over the map? Is that a sample from an existing track?
