Grind House Release Date
Bloody-Disgusting has a report that the Grind House release date is September 22, 2006.
Being over 9 months out, this doesn’t really mean much because there is so much time for stuff to go wrong or to get delayed for competitive reasons.

Well considering they had planned to release it in the spring ( March, April, or May ) of 2006, I had a feeling they might push it back a few months, which they did. I have faith that Tarantino can put it out by the end of 2006.

Theres alot of people who dont like Tarantinos films, and thats totally cool. But they also dont troll and cause trouble with his fans.
QT steals from films, but so doesnt every other filmmaker. If you dont believe that, then youre just plain ignorant. I personally think hes one of the most exciting post modern auteurs there is right now and Ive been a fan since I saw Reservoir Dogs.
Just get over your extreme obsessive hatred of QT and let it go. Move on with your life. Try being positive for a change.

I agree Budd. This troll just wants to rile people up cuz he knows that we are big fans of QT and we love his style of cinema. I watch all kinds of films and I love that QT takes things from other films and puts his own spin on them. I love his dialogue, noone writes like him (although they definitely try and usually fail). Ive also found out about alot of films Id never hear of if it wasnt for QT. Hes a true movie geek that loves to tell post modern cinema stories…. Ya cant forget his awesome taste in music either!

it’s true that all filmmakers borrow (or steal if you will) things from other films. it’s a form of flattery. i just finished watching kung fu hustle for the third time, and it has elements from kill bill, spider-man, the untouchables, looney tunes, the matrix films, and the shining.
now did i sit and watch this movie thinking, “stephen chow is such a dick for taking this stuff”?. no way. i could tell that it was his way of showing admiration and respect. it’s a great film. watch it if you haven’t.
so anyways, buddha, try making a film and seeing how much stuff is original. let us watch it. i’m sure that we’ll find stuff that is similar to other things. meanwhile, don’t be a prick.

Tarantino fills his films with both influences from his own life AND movies. I dont believe that all he knows is movies and nothing else. Thats false.
The dialogue thing is a pretty weak argument because the majority of film critics will admit that QT is a master of dialogue and writing. Thats one of his strongest talents.
QT not only makes cinema, he is commenting on cinema and pop culture constantly and reinventing film stories we’ve seen before. Now, you either like this or you dont. Personally, I love his kind of moviemaking. I happen to love all kinds of movies and Im into alot of the cool genres QT is into. What you call empty I call a celebration.
The easiest way to resolve this problem you have with QTs films is: dont watch them! If you dont like his movies, thats cool. But dont spend your time harassing others who do.

I think Tarantino is a master director. Marginal? Pleaaaase. He makes 98% of todays “directors” look like hacks (and they mostly are!). He also doesnt depend on CGI which is another great thing.

Everyone has directors they dont like. When you continually harass others about it, it just shows what a complete loser you are. It also shows you have A) a strong jealousy or B) obsession with the person. Get over it and move on with your life.
