Kill Bill Special Edition DVD
Dec 22nd
Looks like it might be a while for those of us waiting for the big Kill Bill special edition DVD because QT is going to re-release the film in 1 piece in late 2006 first. Once thats done, then he’ll get to the process of putting the special edition DVD together.
He says, “I want to cut the whole movie together like one big epic with an intermission in the middle like a 60s film. It’ll be coming out in theatres.
“I’ve been holding off because I’ve been working on it for so long that I just wanted a year off from Kill Bill and then I’ll do the big supplementary DVD package.”
So for about another year, you’ll just have to put up with the separate Volume 1 and Volume 2 DVDs.
Tarantino Talks Clerks 2
Dec 22nd
There is a video up over at the Clerks 2 website of Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez talking about the film right after they screened it with Kevin Smith.
Thanks to Desk and Johnny for sending this in.
Italian Hostel Poster
Dec 15th
Yet another poster for Hostel, this time an Italian version. From the clips I’ve seen of the film, they must be shooting for a different poster for each person that dies in the movie.
Also, here is a video of Quentin introducing Eli Roth at a Hostel screening.

Hell Ride Is A Go
Dec 15th
MTV is reporting that Hell Ride has been greenlighted.
According to longtime Tarantino collaborator and leading man Michael Madsen, who is set to star in the movie, Tarantino just recently received the good news. “It’s a motorcycle picture,” Madsen reported, squinting and rasping in his trademark style. The film, which Tarantino will produce, was written and will be directed by actor Larry Bishop. “He was the one in the [strip] club [in 'Kill Bill 2'] who tells me to take my hat off,” Madsen said. “Hell Ride” will be “reminiscent of the ’70s, those motorcycle pictures they made with Joe Namath; the really bad B-movie motorcycle movies,” he continued. “We’re gonna make it like that, but in modern times, with that kind of idea behind it. I think that’s what makes it fun.” The project, a revenge-fueled tale of three “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly” – type characters, is slated begin filming soon. …
As with anything Madsen reports about Tarantino, take it with a grain of salt. Madsen has reported to the world about 10 times that Vega Brothers was a go, only to have it revealed as wishful thinking.
Grind House Companion Book
Dec 6th
Looks like Tarantino and Rodriguez are going to release a companion book to go along with the Grind House movie. Tarantino had planned to do something similar with Kill Bill, and the project ended up being scrapped for unknown reasons – hopefully this one makes it to market.
Here are some details from the Trouble Maker Publishing website. The image below is apparently the proposed book cover. [thanks to Jules for the tip]
