Kill Bill Special Edition DVD
Looks like it might be a while for those of us waiting for the big Kill Bill special edition DVD because QT is going to re-release the film in 1 piece in late 2006 first. Once thats done, then he’ll get to the process of putting the special edition DVD together.
He says, “I want to cut the whole movie together like one big epic with an intermission in the middle like a 60s film. It’ll be coming out in theatres.
“I’ve been holding off because I’ve been working on it for so long that I just wanted a year off from Kill Bill and then I’ll do the big supplementary DVD package.”
So for about another year, you’ll just have to put up with the separate Volume 1 and Volume 2 DVDs.

I dont know about anyone else, but Im sick of hearing QT saying “I wanted a year off from Kill Bill…”. Cmon QT, what are you doing thats so damn important? So now we have to wait til the end of 2006? This is BS. QT should forget the theatrical release and just put out the Special Edition when Grindhouse comes out.

You all are over reacting. For one he didn’t want people to sit in the theater for 4+ hours for a movie. Now that aton of people have seen it and love it they will sit for 4+ hours.
And don’t get on QT’s back about him taking a year off of Kill Bill, it’s not like he isn’t doing anything. Inglorious Bastards? His Kong Fu flick?
Don’t get all pissy people, just wait like 8 months for it to re-release.

i wouldn’t have minded a 4 hour movie with a break to begin with. Then i wouldn’t have had to go to the theatres twice to watch one film.

I say he adds in extra scenes like Vol 3 or 0… like what she does after she has her daughter, and Bill’s family comes to kill her, or the Vivica’s kid fights Uma’s daugter lol.
Or it could be the whole enterting the assasin business and falling in love with Bill and the love triangle with Elle and all that good stuff
it’d be so long it could have 2 intermissions!! WOO HOO!!

I’m Actually on the fence about this matter, to be perfectly honest.
On one hand,I think it’ll be pretty cool to see KB in the incarnation that it should’ve taken on in the first place:as a whole entity, rather than as 2 seperate releases. However,I will agree that it’s too long to wait-late ’06?! Thus,ss of this very minute,I have now gotten off the fence and deduced that I will forgo visiting the theatre for KB re-release and hold out for that elusive Special Edition DVD instead. Granted,though agonizing the wait may be,let’s hope the SE DVD will be as worth the wait-and on par with the perenially KICKASS Pulp Fic and Jackie Brown 2-disc collector’s Edition sets- STILL among the ultimate DVD experiences EVER! In the meantime,I continue to hold out against wasting my $ on the existing,shoddily packaged KB vol.1 & 2 DVD’s. The extras on those(or the lack thereof)SUCK!

I think it wiil be cool to roll the stiry into one… but wouldn’t it be great if he werree to make a pre-quel to this story- what went on before with all the characters. or maybe an addition to the story about what happens next… has there been any talk of a third installment?/ just curious.

Tarentino’s finally understood what we want. Vol.1 and Vol.2 where so cool, but to wait to see each of them was stupid. Een tho 3/4 of Tarentino’s fans own it the S.E DVD will be added to my shelf. To rerelease them in cinemas is stupid why not rerelease reservoir dogs or even pulp fiction for the ultimate Tsrentino experience.

It’s now Mar 27, and I haven’t worried about if Quention puts it out soon. I just look at Vol. 1 and 2 sometimes when it comes on on STARZ. And I know every line and scene from it. Now, if he DOES release it, yeah; of course we’ll be surprised and happy. I just better see a huge difference, or else I just want my money back.

I really don’t mind waiting i mean. it’s not like were gonna die! well…..i might but i’ve waited for movie before and i thought i was gonna die. and believe me i can’t wait for it to come out in theaters again! if any thing it should be kill bill 3 that has a 15 year’s later thing with bb 19 almost 20 and for couse nicki would also be 19 and it would be awesome but i think he should do it in about three years because you have to consider casting and writting the script and the submitting the script then haveing it handed back for a re-write then submitting it again then waiting for the approval then the filming permitts then filming and editing and reshooting and then re-editing and then getting it approved and it’s alot of hard work and takes alot of hard work and dedication. so i think we should stop dogging the Master QT and just be patient and let him work and just be the loyal fans that we are and wait. it will come when it comes.

I believe this is miramax fault you know, I mean, they want to take the more amount of money from the kill bill movies, so I suppose, maybe asked QT to put some scenes who didn’t fit on the Volume 1 & 2, and maybe make an longer edit to fit the two volumes in just one movie, so the people would go and buy the special edition.
I believe as well QT is working hard on the injorious bastards script, so let’s be patient and let’s hope the best of QT is still to come and if it’s not, let’s go and kill him for made us wait so long.:)

QT was yapping, before kill bill vol. 1 was released in theaters that he would A.) Release the “Bill is Dead” edition putting vol. 1+2 together a few months after vol. 2 was released on DVD. B.)Be taking another break from filmmaking… “no where near as long as after Jackie Brown and Kill Bill”. He has a shred piece of a film coming that is not even in production yet (Grind House). Another multi-directoral effort like “4-Rooms”.
A Tarentino War flick… is this going to become another instance of Kevin Smith where he just gets worse as time goes on.
Calm down QT fanatics, yes you! Kill Bill Vol. 1 was great. Action, story, great direction. Kill Bill Vol. 2 was boring, a build up to a fight that lasted a few seconds. (Oh, that was the point.. shut the hell up… anytime you have to say “Maybe that was the directors point or intention is just a way of saying, “He sucked out loud and I have no REAL reason that could prove you wrong.)

Look JC, have you ever noticed what made QT previous films so paramount. The fact he provides violence when least expected. He provides witty dialogue in situation where intense prose are the norm. He has a unique style in which all Tarantino fans love. He showed those characteristics in Vol. 2. That boring aspect in which everyone places with Vol. 2 is classic Tarantino. Deal with it, Vol. 2 is amazing, and in my opinion, Tarantino at his best. I love it, but that’s just my opinion.
