QT Says, Come Drink With Me?
There may be more to the rumors of QT re-making a Chinese Kung Fu movie prior to starting Inglorious Bastards than I originally thought. A story in the Hollywood Reporter today about the Weinsteins investing in Asian films says this:
Titles that the fund is expected to handle include Wong Kar Wai’s “My Blueberry Nights,” the opening-night film at the Festival de Cannes, and a remake of the Hong Kong martial arts movie “Come Drink With Me,” directed by Quentin Tarantino.
I think this is the IMDB entry for the original version of Come Drink With Me.

I hope this is just a rumor. I dont want to see QT do remakes. I want to see him do his own stuff and we want IB to be next.

This probably is just a rumor because QT has said that Inglourious Bastards is his next thing for sure. And he also said if you hear anything different then that’s just him saying something and getting off track a little.

I Don’t have a problem with him doing remakes, but I do think (and hope) he will do IB next.

He said at the NY Times appearance that the WWII movie was next, and Harvey was there cheering him on.
