Ohhh shut up. I allow people to express their opinions its only when they are obviously uninformed/ignorant about the stuff the say that I get pissed off. If people dont like something and arent disrespectful about it, then I have no problem.
Also, if they have the right to disrespect something I like, I have the right to respond to that. Its a free country.
I think you know exactly what Im saying.

People saying that they don’t like something that you like doesn’t mean that they’re disrespecting you, Pete. You don’t have the right to respond to their opinions with personal attacks.
No Pete, I don’t know exactly what you’re saying because you’re makin no sense.
If you could respond to this post with something other than a swearword or a babyish comment of “shut up” then that would be great.

Im never going to treat someone with respect when they blindly disrespect things that I hold in high regard. It will never happen. So, just know that beforehand and we’ll be fine.

If I think someones talking out their ass, Im not going to agree with them. Yes, I might insult them if I think what they say is REALLY ignorant. Its just a natural reaction.
Its not like if someone says: I didnt like Kill Bill. Im gonna start swearing at them. Its when people say stupid stuff like “Jungle Julia wouldnt know who Zatoichi is, thats bad writing by QT”.
Thats different. Thats someone acting as if THEY are above and beyond QTs thought process and they just arent.
Dont make me out to be the worst fan of QT, Im not. I just dont like blind ignorance.

I don’t think that questioning a simple writing decision of QT’s means that someone is saying that they are above his thought process. Your reaction to that comment was however typical fanboy hegemony and hero worship.
We all know that critics could not make films that are good as quentins but thay still have to criticize his work when they see fit. If they werent able to do this then they would be out of a job. People who are lesser than QT can criticise him. Its just an expression of their feelings.
If your natural reaction to a slight criticism of your hero is to launch an attack on that person then I’m not sure what kinda person you are.

Well, the bottom line here is. Who is right and who is wrong? I think Im in the right, regardless of whether I insulted that person or not.
This isnt even about someones opinion. Its about that person saying QT as a writer is incorrect in what he writes. That is 100% bullsh*t. You know it and I know it and everyone else does too. Thats basically like telling a musician, “The song you wrote isnt bring played correctly by you”.
I dont blindly worship QT. That type of statement pisses me off to no end. That is not true. If I am a fan of a director and I love his work, that doesnt mean I “worship” him. Why should I feel guilty about being a big fan of an artist?

I really cant apologize for what I said. Theres no reason for me to because thats how I felt. Maybe I shouldnt call people names, but sometimes I just get really annoyed by ignorant statements. It happens.

Pete, did you ever notice that Harvey Keitel never actually lights his cigarette the first time in the warehouse during Reservoir Dogs.He acts as if he is smoking it but never actually lights it. Do you know why

Well I always thought that the reason that happened was because he was in the middle of trying to talk to Mr Pink, so he doesnt light it, cuz theyre trying to figure out what happened. Its like if youre going to do something but you get preoccupied with something else, so you forget to do that original thing. If that makes sense.

Yeah, I suppose but it wasn’t like he didn’t have time.He went to light it and put the flame next to the cigarette but didn’t light it .at first when I was watching it Ithought it was because he didn’t smoke but later on in the same scene he lights a cigarette. I don’t know.
Anyway do you think it was a golden elvis suit in the suitcase

Bender just wanted some wings to fly. Wouldn’t you, waiting and waiting and waiting for Tarantino to make a movie? LoL.
Seriously, rumor is Lawrence Bender will be back as Producer for “Inglorious Bastards.” For sure, as as an admirer of their successful products, I will welcome that very much. I think a lot of the movie (IG)will be shot in France. Both Tarantino and Bender would relish the opportunity to work the logistics of shooting over there.

QT said he may actually shoot IB in Texas. Its supposed to be more of a spaghetti western atmosphere. You could compare it to Leone shooting his Old West in Spain.
