Kill Bill Boxed Set +
The Death Proof DVD is listed with a Sept 18th, 2007 release date on Amazon right now. No pre-order option yet though. This is going to be a 2-disc set containing both the 90 minute Grindhouse cut and the 127 minute Cannes cut.
This is apparently when the Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair 4-disc set is also going to be released.
Thanks to Mike for the heads up on the info.
UPDATE: Amazon now has Kill Bill – The Whole Bloody Affair listed, but with no release date.

Well I thought the b/w scene in house of blue leaves was great. I think it makes the fight look more raw and intense. To bad it’s going back to color. Looks like I’m going to have to keep my old copy! Boooo, QT!

How can it be color?!?! i’ve seen shots of that scene before it looks like uma thurman has black gunk on her jacket not blood, i thought they just threw black stuff on her since it was going to be black and white anyways

Trust us, its in color. You can see the uncut color version on YouTube!!

What kind of dumbass would prefer the black n white version over the original full color version? lol.

127 minutes of death proof?!! wasn’t 90 minutes painful enough? somebody do him a favor and tell quentin that he’s not half as cool as he thinks he is…NOR is his dialogue in that film.
is the tarantino ship sinking without roger avery captaining the screenwriting process? time will tell, but if death proof is any indication, then QT has jumped the shark!

QT, the Weinsteins, basically everyone ho’s seen has said that the extended edit of Death Proof was better than the Grindhouse cut. The Weinsteins ADMITTED that the theatrical cut of Death Proof wasn’t as good as the uncut movie, because they HAD to cut it down to keep the running time reasonable. It’s the same story, but the extended edition is supposed to be more emotional. Give it a chance before you totally diss it.

I must be a cynical guy but I think that Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair is finally seeing the light of day cos Grindhouse bombed. Harvey needs money to stay afloat and the real paydirt they have right now is Kill Bill box set. So I think we should all be happy Grindhouse bombed. Hasn’t released where I live so am yet to watch it.

I loved the US theatrical cut of Death Proof! And Im sure the full cut is even better.
Leung: QTs as sharp as hes always been. If Avary was so great, why doesnt he write/direct some good films? Killing Zoe and ROA? Pbbbblt. I dont like either of them.

Though I’m happy Kill Bill: NC-17 is coming out (near my birthday!!!), it’s pissing me off DP is getting sold separatedly. I WANT THE WHOLE FUCKING GRINDHOUSE, UNEDITED, ON DVD, WEINSTEIN BROTHERS! ELSE, IT’S WAR!!!!

Even if they did release Grindhouse on DVD, I’d probably buy Deathproof Extended instead. Grindhouse was cool in the theater, but I can do without owning Planet Terror.

sry I keep double posting. Hey, does anyone know if this is going to fit on one DVD? It would suck to have switch DVDs in the middle. I can do that now.

Yes, they did it with Return of the King’s insanely long running time, so I imagine it wouldn’t bee too much of a stretch for Grindhouse.

Does Quentin actually check this site. Updates are few and far between. I don’t mean to rush Art, but damn the last, what was it, 8 year span was weak.
I need Tarantino, and Death proof, for me was just a taste of what he’s capable of. At this pace there will only be like 3 more Tarantino movies released in my lifetime.
Someone shoot me.
