Tim Roth Clueless On Inglorious Bastards Status
Since Tarantino mentioned having Inglorious Bastards ready for Cannes in 2009 there have been a few stories about him backing out of a film festival to work on the film. I still have a hard time believing we’ll see this film in 2009 and the report that Tim Roth hasn’t heard anything from QT just cements that idea.
In order to get this film to Cannes next year, shooting has to begin soon – this fall at the latest. But in order to shoot the movie, he’s got to finalize his cast and make sure that they don’t have other commitments already lined up that will conflict with Inglorious Bastards.

I agree its a good sign that he’s talking about completing the film – I’ve just grown awfully skeptical of what he says he’ll do. As soon as I see signs of actual production life for the project, I’ll be cheerleading all the way.
