Inglorious Bastards Casting Update
There has been a ton of rumors, but according to Variety, here is the latest status.
Eli Roth – in talks to play a baseball bat-swinging Nazi hunter named Sgt. Donnie Donowitz
Brad Pitt – in talks to play Aldo Raine, leader of a band of Jewish-American soldiers
Leonardo DiCaprio – flirted with playing a German SS soldier, but that fell through.

Quentin has lost his mind. Eli Roth is a terrible filmmaker and actor. Quentin needs to stay away from Robert Rodriguez and Eli Roth. They have ruined is films. The old Quentin when never cast some awful director to be in his movie, or have some hack director do the music for his movies. Death Proof was ruined by Eli and the girls that were cast in the film. I miss the old Quentin who made good films.

I love Robert Rodriguez. In fact, Quentin needs to spend MORE time with him. Eli Roth I could do without, but him and Robert need to be around each other all the time. Death Proof was HORRIBLE. If he had taken a few notes from Planet Terror, things would have been better.

Planet Terror was a snore fest. Hack work from beginning to end.

I think Quentin should do a Spy Kids sequel. Robert and Quentin should culminate the experiences into a family friendly romp.

It’d be hard for Quentin to make a good family film because he doesn’t have children of his own. He’d be pretty far removed from what kids think is cool. Robert has something like three or four kids (all with awesome names), so he’s constantly around that mindset.
And Planet Terror was neither a snore fest nor hack work. There’s no way that Planet Terror was more boring than Death Proof. C’mon, now. I’m a much bigger Tarantino fan than a Rodriguez fan, but I’m no mindless fanboy. I call ‘em like I see ‘em.

I will have to take up for QT. At first when I saw Death Proof at the movies, I believed it was boring and a disappointment to me. HOWEVER, I recommend everyone give it another chance. Buy it on DVD (some scenes are different) and understand the type of film it is. It does give you that “back in the day ” feel to it, and the dialogue is Hilarious. Remember, it’s female dialogue…just the way he had “guy” dialogue in Reservoir Dogs. I think QT did great.
And the transition in the movie theater from Planet Terror ( a highly intense ACTION film) to a extremely calm “dialogue enriched” movie also killed people’s reaction (I think)….or I’m just a fool for QT

The only mindless idiot is you, MATT. Since Quentin Met Robert his films have been slowing losing thier magic. If you like Planet Terror that means you have no brain. How can you “call’em like you see’em” when your blind. Maybe you should stick with more mindless films like Hostel, SAW, and Scream. You simply do not have the mental capacity to know what is good and bad.

“Eli Roth – in talks to play a baseball bat-swinging Nazi hunter named Sgt. Donnie Donowitz”
Sigh.

I’ll have to take on these issues seperately…
…”Death Proof”, aside from Butterfly being ugly, kicked ass. The worst thing about it was its connection to “Planet
Terror” which sucked exept for the image of Rose McGowan with a gun for a leg…
…Rodriguez has been a hack since “Once Upon a Time In Mexico” which was so sloppy, I liked the first 2 and hated it. Eli Roth isn’t that bad, “Hostel 2″ was not only better than the first movie, it was a much better sequal than “Once Upon a Time In Mexico”…
…Two words-SPY KIDS-how can you be a Rodriguez fan?…
…Brad Pitt should do well…
…THE END
