Already all-but-attached to the film are Samuel L. Jackson (house slave) and Christop Waltz (bounty hunter).
So the wide-spread rumor is that the next Tarantino film will be Django Unchained – effectively what he has previously referred to as his ‘southern’ film. This film is going to somewhat be an homage to the 1966 film Django, directed by Sergio Corbucci with a bit of nod to 2007′s Sukiyaki Western Django from Takashi Miike. Tarantino played the role of Ringo in the Takashi Miike film.
A draft of the script was leaked online at Obsessed With Film, but I was too slow to get a copy before they had to take it down. They do still have an outline of the plot that you can read.
