Tarantino: “I’m Not Your Slave”
Video interview of Quentin talking about Django.
Asked about the link between movie violence and real violence, Tarantino responds in the video below: “Don’t ask me a question like that – I’m not biting.” When asked why, he says, “Because I refuse your question. I’m not your slave and you’re not my master. You can’t make me dance to your tune. I’m not a monkey.”
Tell them to go fuck themselves Quentin. These bogus connections to real violence. This fake outrage of racism. Just tell them all to go fuck themselves.

Dear poster of this news item, you don’t get it. You say “These bogus connections to real violence”… but that’s not where this interview is about.
Let me put this straight: I agree with you that these connections to real violence is becoming a ridiculous discussion. There is no proven connection and I don’t think when millions of people are watching the film and one snaps and starts killing people, it’s because of the film. It’s because of that guy being crazy. The cause of that should be investigated, not games or films.
Anyway, what I’m trying to say is that this interview is not about the interviewer’s opinion. Tarantino knows that when he – a famous director of movies with violent themes – is being interviewed by a news program, he’s bound to get those questions. And yes, he should answer them, once again.
This is not Britney Spears with 10 minutes of interview time on the clock, where the interviewer is directed by Britney’s agent, only allowed to be asking the questions written down.
It’s Tarantino’s duty to once again tell the interviewer the connection between violence and movies is insane, and then provide his reasoning briefly. That’s what you get when you’re name is Tarantino.
A personal note: I think the last question is very applicable. Tarantino lost it. He has become an arrogant, self indulgent asshole making so-so movies. He peaked around Jackie Brown, before getting too much budget for his own good. He’s too fond of himself.
I invite Tarantino to make one movie without someone being shot, raped, tortured or whatnot. I like to see a low budget movie where he can show the filmmaking skills he once showed us.

Far back as I can remember somebody has always cried about what Quentin does. I would get sick of answering the same question 5,000 times myself so I cant blame him.
I also have to point out that this movie has a 89% critic rating & and 94% fan rating on RT and similar high marks on IMDB…… The vast majority of us liked the film and understood the point, he should ignore that other 6% of the audience whining about it
Cant make everyone happy

I totally disagree with what Jeroen has written at the end here! I met Tarantino and was chatting with him for half an hour! He is FAR from arrogant and self indulgent! He was one of the nicest funniest men I have ever met! He listened to me and others that were there very interestingly, now that is not what a self indulgent arrogant man does! As fas as you slating his movies is concerned, what a pile of crap! JackiE Brown was good but there has been much better since! Deathproof, my personal favourite, Kill Bill volumes and Inglorious Basterds were fabulous. He has many fab movies some of my biggest faves are True Romance, Reservoir Dogs and Once upon a time in Mexico…
As for Quentin’s response, I don’t blame him and he is right! The media has to get over this “so called” link with movie violence and real life violence! Come on the whole human race isn’t that moronic!! If it were me I’d have responded with true Tarantino style “F**k you you f**king f**k!”
