Joseph Gordon-Levitt Out of Django Unchained
Apr 5th
Well, we hinted it might happen here, but today comes the news that Joseph Gordon-Levitt has dropped out of Django Unchained because of a scheduling conflict with a film he’s directing.
. As it turns out, scheduling does in fact conflict, and Gordon-Levitt recently confirmed to MTV News, “No, I’m not going to get to do [Django]. I’d love to, but it just doesn’t work”.

Deadspin has the video of Samuel L. Jackson introducing the Hornets last night in New Orleans. Not surprisingly, he does the Ezekiel 25:17 passage from Pulp Fiction at the 2:55 mark.
Django Unchained Filming At Fort Pike
Mar 21st
Looks like Django Unchained is filming at Fort Pike on Friday.
It’s not the first time that the fort, built in 1818 and set on a 94-acre site, has attracted a Hollywood production. Films including 2010′s “Jonah Hex” and the forthcoming “G.I. Joe: Retaliation” have shot there in recent years.

Pulp Fiction, Shakespeare Style
Mar 18th
Cool story about a Shakespearian adaptation of Pulp Fiction called Bard Fiction. I’d go see that if it was near me.
The storyline is faithful to the original film with a few Shakespearean twists. Christopher Walken’s character, which exists in a flashback in the film, appears as a ghost in the play. Any use of cell phones in the film is replaced with a messenger, cleverly named Sprint. There were no hamburgers or McDonald’s in 17th century England, of course. Instead Jules and Vincent discuss what cottage pie is called in France — hachis parmentier.
Michael Bacall Added To Django Unchained
Mar 15th
Tarantino alum Michael Bacall reveals he has a role in Django Unchained.
This will actually be the third time that he has worked with the director, as he previously played roles in both Death Proof, Inglourious Basterds, and the Tarantino directed two-part episode of CSI.
He was only on-set for 1 day, so its not a major supporting role.

Tarantino Alum: Mélanie Laurent in The Adopted

I always like to follow the careers of folks that appear in Tarantino movies to see how other directors use them after their big exposure. Here is a short review of The Adopted which starts Mélanie Laurent (Shosanna from Inglourious Basterds)
Adam Levine Wants A Tarantino Death Scene
Feb 29th
Adam Levine (Maroon 5) is a huge Tarantino fan and would like to be killed in a Tarantino film.
The exception to that rule? Being in a Quentin Tarantino movie, he said. “I’d like to be in the movie for 17 1/2 minutes,” Adam explained, “and he can bloody me up as much as he wants. He can kill me really gruesomely. I’d be totally fine with that.”
