Eric David has written a long essay on the role of vice in Quentin Tarantino’s films. I think alot of the connections he tries to make – particularly the paragraph on the name Bill from Kill Bill – are a real stretch. Still an interesting article though.
Sin City Extended DVD Announced

Well, it didn’t take long for the extended version of the Sin City DVD to be announced – it’ll be available just before Christmas. Here’s some of the details [via DVD Answers]:
The 124-minute theatrical release
The 147-minute extended cut A commentary with director Robert Rodriguez & Frank Miller, and with Rodriguez & Tarantino A 15-minute film school with Rodriguez 17 uninterrupted minutes of Tarantino’s segment Footage of a Sin City cast/crew party 4 featurettes on the cars, special effects make-up, costumes and props, a featurette on how they convinced Miller to assist with the film, a featurette on casting, a featurette on Tarantino the guest director (sigh) Trailers, bloopers, interactive game Packaged with a graphic novel, “The Hard Goodbye”
I also noticed that Sin City is available for the PSP

The Sin City DVD is released today.
You may also want to pick up the soundtrack or the Making of the Movie book.
Amazon also has a paperback version of the Complete Sin City Library, which is a collection of all 7 volumes of the storyline.
There are also lots of different Sin City posters to choose from.
Sin City 2!

Robert Rodriguez has confirmed that he will make a sequel to Sin City, tentatively titled A Dame To Kill For. No word on whether Quentin will have any involvement in the film.

Movie-List has uploaded a very cool Sin City trailer from Comic Con. Its in a big format and is quite long. Looks very interesting.
Sin City Panel

JoBlo has a pretty big article up based on a Sin City panel they attended at Comic-Con 2004. For those of you that may not know, Tarantino is ‘co-director’ of this film with Robert Rodriguez, though he only directed one scene.

Tarantino In ‘Sin City’ For $1

As promised, Quentin has directed a scene in ‘Sin City’ for Robert Rodriguez for the huge salary of $1. Its the same amount Tarantino paid Rodriguez for scoring Kill Bill V2.
