Wonder why Tarantino got rid of the RZA, though? I mean, I liked some of his score, like when Buck walks down the corridor, but when he added lyrics, that song just got kind of annoying. Still, maybe it is all for the better.

Good god, after once a time in mexico why would anyone want to work with Robert Rodriguez ever. why push your luck with this has been director. I mean when Quentin made pulp, Robert Rodriguez was going to be the next best thing but he clearly showed he has not real talent to directoring the types of movies his fans wanted him to make. To me he has clearly lost is vision of good film making, and if I was QT I would stay away from him with a 10,000 foot pole.

Come on, don't be so harsh on Rodriguez. I see that I am a part of a majority with you that the Spy Kids stuff is not for us and it's time well wasted. He makes money for his family but we wait years for the Desperado sequel. Speaking of which, I loved the first installment (the remake in the 90's, not the B&W original.) And I say if you're a fan of the first one then you most definitely would like the second as it is similarily shot with all or mostly real lighting throughout and his classic angles and violent, creative action is prevalent as well. Then throw in Johnny Depp and many returning favorites like Danny Trejo and you've got one sweet movie. And did you all see Rodriguez's "one room" in Four Rooms? Called "The Misbehavers" it was one of the single most funny and well done scenes ever for me. Now with all that said, you're fully entitled to a different view and I appreciate that. I just read the whole discussion here on his work and long-time relationship with Tarantino (From Dusk Till Dawn; also excellent) and I only saw negative impressions and felt a fair view of his films' reception throughout the years was needed. So here's some respect for his work from me at least.

Are you ALL smoking crack? What about "Tes Loja", his first, and most misrepresented film? Does that not count for anything? Do your homework before you bkather incessantly.

Excuse me please if my interest only runs so deep. With the amount of free time that I earn, I can devote only so much to each individual interest of which are numerous.
As for you, I thank you for bringing a heretofore unknown movie "Tes Loja" to my attention so that I might seek it out and revel in more of Mr. Rodriguez's work.
Oh and next time you want to contribute to a discussion, you might try being a little more informative and insightful instead of ignorant and spiteful.

thats great rodriguez is doing the score... quentin and robert claim to be best friends so its only makes sense that they'd want to contribute to each other's work. by the way, i loved once upon a time in mexico... haven't seen all the spy kids movies but what rodriguez movies i have seen have been more fun than most everything else, period.

I admit that the Spy Kids movies are crap. Ofcourse its stupid, their all made for ages 8-12. But Desperado is one of my favorite movies that were not written by QT. Qt's cameo (the piss joke) was especially rememerable.

LEAVE RZA!
rza added a new dimension to the movie. Not only saying this as a hiphop fan, his sound is unique. Plus Rza knows his martial arts movies and samples them endlessly, i think Q is making a BIG mistake.

It's a shame he is doing the score. He has no talent in the music department and only a meager talent in making films. Four Rooms and Bedhead are his best achievments. The obscure allready existant music that tarantino picked for Vol. 1 was outstanding. He should go the same road for Vol. 2.
RZA has no talent. His small contribution was good except for the worst rapping I have ever heard.

Rodriguez and Tarantino are the best!! and once upon a time in mexico was COOL!! completely non understandable... but cool. and I love danny trejo.

QT is doing a big mistake if he leaves RZA. That Oren Ishi Ode was really insane. Like someone said earlier he added a whole new dimension to the movie and come on guys he's a Wu-Tang Clan member so it's just normal to see him do the score of a martial art movie.

Any chance of anyone having a link or location on where to get the Rodriguez music from Kill Bill 2, the soundtrack doesn't have it... :(

yeah the one song i liked from the movie which i'm assuming was part of his score, wasn't on the soundtrack. it's the same stuff you hear when budd is talking to bill at the trailer, and it's also that background music on the official flash website for kill bill vol. 2. does anyone know if and when the score including this can be purchased?

well i thought rodriguez did a great job scoring the movie. yes its unfortunate that the song your talking about isn't on the soundtrack. i also noticed rza was still around too. great effort by the both of them. and i just want to say im a huge robert rodriguez fan.
