Hero Wins Box Office

Well, whether you agree with the marketing tactic behind the 'Quentin Tarantino Presents' tag line or not, it seems to have worked as Hero won the weekend with just under $18 million.

The film was crazy cool. Kind of weird, but definitely crazy cool.

First of all, Hero was an absolutely awesome movie. Pure greatness.

Second, I don't think the "Quentin Tarantino Presents" thing was just a cheap marketing tactic. At first I just thought it was because Miramax was involved, in which case it WOULD just be a cheap marketing tactic, but as it turns out Quentin payed to have the film brought over here unedited, as opposed to a version that would have had some 20 minutes or so cut out.

I love all things Tarantino, however, i didn't particularly care for this film. But i can still see how some thought it was cool.

I didn't like it. While I commend the makers for trying to escape the martial arts movie cliché, maybe they shouldn't have.

i don't like martial arts or horros films, those are just the films that arrive to America, but there are a lot of films greater that any hollywood stuff
