New Kill Bill V2 TV Spot
The official Kill Bill website has been updated with a Volume 1 DVD trailer. I haven't had any luck getting it to play as of yet, but maybe somethings screwed up on my end.
Also, although I see nothing mentioned on the web anywhere, I just saw a new TV spot for Kill Bill Volume 2. Hopefully, something will appear online shortly.
UPDATE: The TV spot for Kill Bill Volume 2 can be seen here.

Kill Bill 2 Soundtrack Press Info
Just got an email from Dan letting me know that the official Warner Brothers press release for the Kill Bill 2 soundtrack has been posted:
You can buy the Volume 2 soundtrack here.
Kill Bill Vol. 2, the highly anticipated follow-up to Quentin Tarantino's box office hit Kill Bill Vol. 1, is set to hit U.K. cinemas nationwide on April 23rd. The soundtrack for Kill Bill Vol.2 will be released in the U.K. on April 19th on Maverick Records/WEA and will feature new cutting edge tracks from Johnny Cash, Malcolm McLaren, and Wu-Tang Clan. They also have a 1417 x 1417 version of the cover that would make a good desktop background with some cropping. You'll also notice that the CD cover for the UK soundtrack in this press release has a slightly different cover than the US version posted her previously.
After a hugely successful movie debut last October, Kill Bill Vol.1, which featured a range of classic tracks from Nancy Sinatra's "Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)" to RZA's "Ode to Oren Ishii", the soundtrack was a sell out success in the U.K, debuting at Number 1 on the UK soundtrack chart and selling over 120,000 copies.
The soundtrack for Kill Bill Vol. 2 is set to carry on this success, with classic tracks from the multi-platinum selling Wu Tang Clan, the 'God of Modern Movie' music Ennio Morricone ("Il Tramonto", "A Silhouette Of Doom") and the rockability kitsch of Charlie Feathers ("Can't Hardly Stand It").
You can buy the Volume 2 soundtrack here.

New Kill Bill Poster
There's a brand new Thai Kill Bill poster available at AllPosters. I'll assume that the actual poster isn't as out of focus as the image they have up of it.
Tuesday DVD Releases
Jackie Brown Needs More Love
Jackie Brown makes CHUD's list of The 100 Movies That Deserve More Love.
Aaah, yes. It’s the Tarantino movie that nobody likes. Apart from the people who say they like it best, just to look cool and contrary. The weird thing is, in many ways, Jackie Brown really is Tarantino’s best movie. Or at least his most interesting. Shorn of most of his trademarked pop culture riffing, displaced timeframes and pretty much violence-free, it’s no surprise that it failed to connect with an audience primed for Pulp Fiction 2: The Blaxploitation Years. Instead, you get a slow-burning movie about middle-aged people fumbling around the fringes of society. It’s a movie for grown-ups, stewed in funky 70s jerk seasoning, and still the most rich and mature movie to sprout from the QT Mental Archive.
The Defense: Forget it’s from Tarantino. Forget what you expect from him. And just enjoy a movie that’s as mesmerisingly languid as a cloud of bong smoke.

David Carradine Talks Up Kill Bill 2
Not suprisingly, he likes it.
"The content, even the style, are very different. It's not the juggernaut of fighting that the first one was, although there's a lot of hot action in it. Everyone talks a lot -- what people are used to with Quentin.'MSNBC also has a longer article about Carradine.
"The heart of the movie is the stuff between me and Uma -- wonderful stuff. I just saw the finished picture, and it's beyond my expectations,' adds Carradine of the feature opening April 16. "The second one is, I think, a better picture than the first.'
"Bill is more fun than anything," Carradine said. "Bill has virtually no human problems. He’s just kind of put himself above it all. He's actually a very charming guy. Yeah, he kills people for a living, but ... As far as him being a villain, there are no good guys in a Quentin Tarantino movie. Everybody has an agenda, everybody is a criminal, and everybody has a certain nobility."

New Japanese Trailer For Kill Bill 2
From reader Joey:
Just thought you'd like to know that as I was checking out www.ComingSoon.net tonight, I noticed they added a link to a "new japanese trailer" for "...Volume 2". Although I wouldn't get too excited since there really isn't anything "new". It actually looks somewhat like a fan-created-trailer. Most of the footage is from Volume 1, and from the Volume 2 trailer...and additional V2 footage found in early Volume 1 trailers. There's one new scene with a panoramic shot of The Bride driving on the road, but who's to say it's from the movie.I actually like this trailer just fine. It keeps with the 'Kill Is Love' theme from the Japanese poster.

Behind The Scenes Footage
ExtraTV.com has a behind the scenes clip up on their site today. The clip is only about 2 minutes long, but has some excerpts of interviews with Uma, Quentin, and Daryl Hannah.
Uma gets off the most interesting snippit, dropping a hint that it was Tarantino's intention to split Kill Bill into 2 movies all along. Inside info? Or just teasing a close friend?

AllPosters.com is having a sale on Kill Bill V1 posters. All the regular sized posters are under $7.
1st Kill Bill Volume 2 Reviews
The Harry Knowles review of Kill Bill Volume 2 has been posted, along with 2 others. To be honest, I can't read Knowles site. Between the unending hype for every single movie and the huge purple fonts, its just too much for me. Seriously, that may be the worst design website (of any popularity) in the world.

Uma Makes Empire Cover
Uma Thurman is on the cover of the newest Empire Magazine and inside is an article (not online yet) that was summarized to me by Michael:
... thought I'd tell you bout two QT news items: Latest issue of UK Empire Mag has Uma interview in which she denies quentin's 'like a couple in every way' speech--she says he's not stupid and probably didn't say it at all. She also talks bit about vol 2 in general. For all our sakes, I hope Tarantino either never said that or never reads this article. The last thing we need is for Quentin to realize that his muse doesn't have the hots for him the way he does for her. It might be 12 years till his next film is done if thats the case!

The Bride Says Fuck U
More Blame Heaped On Kill Bill
Misery loves company. Patrick Stewart - of Star Trek & X-Men fame reveals that he was traumatized as a boy by watching his father beat up his mother. But instead of laying the blame for that on his dad where it belongs - Stewart heaps some of the blame on Hollywood by claiming
" ...the film industry is partly to blame for the global culture of violence against women"Sounds a bit like he's blaming himself to me. Then he goes all Stephen King on us and throws a bag of shit at QT:
“The entertainment industry has been extremely irresponsible in perpetuating and stereotyping the violent attitudes ofRelated: Stephen King Hated Kill Billmen to women,” said Stewart at the launch of an Amnesty International campaign against attacks on women. Stewart, who revealed that as a child he had witnessed his father beating up his mother, picked out Quentin Tarantino’s revenge tale Kill Bill for particular criticism.
“I condemn utterly films like Kill Bill. We are told it is about empowering women. All it does is empower a woman to kill other women,” he said.
Looking Back: Kill Bill V1 Online Ads
A little inside baseball here, but it interested me nonetheless.
The objective of Deep Focus' "Kill Bill Vol. 1" campaign was to generate trailer views for the movie's Web site before and during its release. Deep Focus' efforts resulted in three million unique audience interactions and two million trailer views during the six-week campaign, as well as the award for Best Rich Media Campaign at the DoubleClick conference.
