I'm with Gee Gee. Just saw it today ( opening day ) as well and am seeing it again in 2 days time. I read the first 4 graphic novels, as the movie uses 3 out of those 4, and they are very true to the original Frank Miller work. Not 100% of course, but nevertheless, pretty dang close. The music is great, as is the look, coloring, editing, and acting ( with a few exceptions of some weak acting spots ). Overall, a must see for comic book fans and non comic book fans alike.

QT directed the scene with Benicio Del Toro's head and Clive Owen talking to each other in the car. Contrary to what Buddhatang says, that scene did not suck. Was it weird? Sure, but that's how it was in the comic book. You can't blame Tarantino for using what Frank Miller told him to use. I thought it brought some comic relief to the movie.

I loved that scene!! it did not suck at all, it was one of my favorites, Benicio Del Torro was probably my favorite character in the entire movie.

*is thrilled that someone agrees with her* I wouldn't recommend it for people who hadn't read at least one of the comics first, though. I went with a few friend who didn't know what to expect, and they "didn't get it" and thought it was "too violent." I honestly don't know what they were expecting though. I had read the Hard Goodbye (and I've just started on a Dame to Kill For!) and absolutely loved it, as I have said before.
Question for Buddhatang:
Why are you trolling here, since it seems dead obvious that everyone who visits/comments are devoted QT fams who *aren't* going to have their opinions changed just because you say so? just asking.

Buddhatang is a very confused person with entirely to much time on his/her hands. Anyway...I also loved the movie, but had 2 problems with it. Jessica Alba is amazingly hot, but the girl couldn't act her way out of a paper bag (Thank goodness her hotness made up for it most of the time). And Brittney Murphy's accent really started to piss me off. At first it was fine, but by the time she got hit by Benicio and was kinda talk'n crazy i almost laughed at it. This being said, I actually really enjoyed the movie.

As I already said, I loved the movie. I don't think you really need to read the books to " get it ", but I can understand someone thinking it is weird and too violent. I didn't think Jessica Alba did that bad, she was actually OK. I do agree that Brittany Murphy's accent was rather anoying, but luckily she was only really in one big scene and a few other small ones. As much as I love Micheal Madsen, I thought his acting in the opening scene was pretty weak, but he got a little better near the end scenes.

Buddhatang, you are not funny my making fun of Tarantino. You don't know about movies, good or bad ones. I think I speak for everyone when I say, GO TO HELL YOU PIECE OF SHIT!

I thought Sin City was awesome, Rodriguez's best work yet by far. It's one of my favorite flicks ever! The only complaints I have are Jessica Alba's acting, and refusal to show us what she's got. She's still damn fine though. Madsen also did really crappy in that opening scene. Other than that the film kicked ass. Hopefully QT will use Del Toro in one of his future Films b/c he's a fantastic actor. Also Mickey Rourke blew me away as the bad ass Marv.

I was also disappointed with Michael Madsen's performance. The opening scene with Bruce Willis and him is the weakest part of the movie. Maybe it was a problem the script and not entirely his fault...I don't know. I want to give him the benefit of the doubt after his great performance in KB2.

I just like from Dusk Till Dawn better because QT had more to do in that movie.
