Twitch Interviews Eli Roth
D: Alright hey, no biggie. So the flick seems about half boobs and half blood? There are also reports of a sequel to Hosel in the works.
ELI: It's actually a third boobs, and a third blood and then a third really creepy disturbing mystery.
D: Yeah ... wow. That's like cool that you can get it down that exact and all. Do the actresses like vying for the boob time?
ELI: Uh, well we talk to all the actresses ahead of time so everybody knows exactly...
D: Like do they catfight for ya?! Dude you are so lucky. I remember one time in the seventh grade...
ELI: No, no. We work out all the sex scenes and nudity with everyone so they'll feel comfortable. Do you do this much? I mean usually I don't do interviews without...

My boyfriend just told me that he's a little hungry. So I'm leaving a comment, hoping someone who made this film will email me back, telling me they're sending me back the 15 dollars I spent for us to go see their film "Hostel". If a film is what you'd call it. In my opinion, it's nothing more than a travesty.
If you were trying to make the most disgusting, disturbing, tormenting, sad movie with the least amount of plot? Congratulations. You've totally succeeded. In the most distasteful, inhuman, insensitive way possible. Quentin, how could you be a part of this? Resevoir Dogs? Pulp Fiction? Do these ring a bell? They were superb works of art! Moving, funny, and memorable. All "Hostel" left me was a feeling of disgust and sadness. All I could think during the movie was, "My God, there are people in the world, of different races, being held hostage and tortured right now. What would they think if they knew people PAID to see someone get tortured for sheer entertainment?"
I'm a humanitarian at heart. And yeah, I am sensitive. It's my best quality. I didn't want to see this movie from the get-go, but my boyfriend insisted, because he was lucky enough to see the more credit-deserving movies that were playing at the time. As soon as I saw the first titty flash, I knew that "Hostel" was nothing but a poorly directed and written porn film gone wrong. Shit, "Cabin Fever" was a horrible film. Why move on and make something worse? I'm sure you're going to make a great deal of money on this film. But if you have any decency, you'll donate it to a humanitarian cause. Or at least put the money towards some books, because you need to read more of them. Try investing in an imagination. Grahpics aren't everything. If they were, we'd stare at screen savers all day, wondering what the letters on the keyboard is for.
From one creative mind to the next, here's some advice: Make something great to tie your name to. If you can't, either give it up, or play dead for awhile. What you've done is not only disappointing, it's down right offensive. I think it's my duty to pass the word about how horrible "Hostel" really is. And I will. To anyone and everyone.
It won't have that much of an impact on you, or the success of the film I'm sure, but I'll feel I'm doing my part by saving whoever I can from your shit.
Oh, and, yeah...look out for me. I'll be that girl making great films that will be remembered for being GREAT films, and not some junk 2 guys thought would be cool. (It's been awhile since high school, hasn't it?)
For shame, guys. For shame.

ouch.
but remember, in QT's defense, he slapped his name on hostel just to help eli roth out. that doesn't necessarily mean that he loved every aspect of the movie. just that he was trying to help out a struggling writer/director like he once was.

Quentin should have known better. A director like him has to be careful of what he lends his name to. Not a very smooth move for Mr. Tarantino.

To everyone who thinks that QT's directorial talent makes him a competent judge of film, I have one word for you: Manos. Widely considered the most horrible film ever to exist anywhere, QT owns his own copy and ranks it among his favorites.
That clip from the interview is hilarious.

Katrina, Keep telling yourself this, even as you bust tables at the local diner. The allusion might help keep you from blowing yours or anyone elses brains out.

So some of you didn't like Hostel because it had torutre in it.And then refer to Resevoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction ,which both contain scenes of torture.
That makes sense.

if katrina was such a humanitarian then why was she going to see a movie about people paying to kill other people? even if your boyfriend forced you to go u could have walked out. i mean i admit the it wasnt the greatest movie ever made but i still thought it was entertaing and cant wait for the DVD.

Hey Katrina, for being such a humanitarian you can be very cruel towards ppl. I think you should apologize to Eli Roth. He'd probably prefer it in the form of a bj. Listen if u don't like the film or director, than shut up and prove to us u can make a better film. I want to be a director and think Eli did a shitty job with 'Fever' but an amazing one with 'Hostile'. Give me ur last name and adress, that way I know where to send out for my $9 back for seeing ur shit movie.

You shouldn't be so harsh on Katerina. We all have to respect other people's opinion and to be honest i partly agree with hers.It was the most sick, disguisting and twisted movie i have seen so far and i am afraid that it might affect the young generation in a way that some of them will want to follow the examples of that movie. Also as someone from east europe i am confussed about the political messages Ely is talking about.what exactly he means?may be he is trying to stick to some stereotypes,or may be he is trying to bring out something left in the past.i am confussed. And another thing-i felt like this movie in a way is creating a negative reputation for the countryes from East Europe, especially Slovakia ,visited and popular among so many american tourists.........
Then the beggining was poor and if there are any political messages, what kind of message the director sends to his american audiance,by creating characters as this 3 american boys which only purpose to travel is to have fun(sex).Seems like they cannot have any kind of exaitment back home.........
