QT Says, Come Drink With Me?
There may be more to the rumors of QT re-making a Chinese Kung Fu movie prior to starting Inglorious Bastards than I originally thought. A story in the Hollywood Reporter today about the Weinsteins investing in Asian films says this:
Titles that the fund is expected to handle include Wong Kar Wai's "My Blueberry Nights," the opening-night film at the Festival de Cannes, and a remake of the Hong Kong martial arts movie "Come Drink With Me," directed by Quentin Tarantino.
I think this is the IMDB entry for the original version of Come Drink With Me.

Not suprisingly, Tarantino is taking Death Proof to the Cannes Film Festival.

Tarantino Archives Database Problems
Just an FYI, the Tarantino Archives (tarantino.info) has experience some serious database problems that has taken them offline until they can be fixed. They've set up a temporary blog at tarantinoarchives.blogspot.com to keep folks informed as to their status. Here's hoping they are up and running again soon.

Don't Miss GRINDHOUSE Experience
If you haven't been out to see GRINDHOUSE yet, get off your ass and go. It fell out of the top 10 in the box office and only made $434 per screen this past week - likely meaning that its not going to be in theatres for much longer.

Re-Releasing GRINDHOUSE In 2 Pieces?
Its apparently panic time for Harvey Weinstein - he's kicking around the idea of re-releasing GRINDHOUSE as 2 separate movies in just a couple of weeks.
This is just wrong, wrong, wrong.

Death Proof Questionnaire
Hey folks, I'm always getting emails from film students with lots of questions about QT's filmmaking style, and I rarely have the time to respond properly. But Rebekah was smart enough to pose her questions in the form of a questionnaire that any of you can fill out after watching GRINDHOUSE this weekend.
Rebekah is pursuing her PhD in Film Studies at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, and the questionnaire is short and sweet - so lets help her out.

Kung Fu Rumors Coming Back
With GRINDHOUSE officially hitting theaters on Friday, its inevitable that rumors of QT's next film start to fly. Its never really clear from the articles whether Tarantino is committing to making the films it appears that he is, or if the writers are just picking and choosing sentences that fit the mold of what they want him to make next. This next rumor probably falls into the latter category:
Quentin Tarantino to Remake Classic Chinese Kungfu Movie.
I'm pretty sure this is just a re-hash of something QT said back in 2003, but we just don't know enough yet.
