This just keeps getting better and better. I wanted to see "Inglorious Bastards" pretty bad for the sake of it being a Tarantino picture, but this cast is making me drool.

This cast is going to be the worst since Death Proof, not including Kurt Russel. He was the best thing about the film.

I'd have to agree with John about the casting. It's pretty awful so far.

Simon Pegg, is he that guy from "Shaun of the Dead"? That really sounds terrible.

...are you serious? Simon Pegg kicks ass.

[6] On Aug-10-2008, Juhan wrote:

I agree. Simon Pegg and Quentin Tarantino working together is like a dream come true. "that guy from Shaun of the Dead" is the best thing that could ever happen to this movie. Awesome.

QT is done for. Eli Roth, Guy From "Shit Of The Dead", Brad Twitt, even the premise of the film is shit. This film sound like "Shaving Private Ryan". Next we hear, Samual L. Hackson will play Hitler.

Is Micheal madsen as "Butchinsky" out ?

Was'nt the original idea for this to be a WW II film homage to Dirty Dozen, kelly's heroes, Where Eagles Dare done in a "Spagetti Western" style ?

Sounds like it's changed a bit

Jim

no it doesnt. Now we have a WW II Dirty Dozen meets Sphagetti Western with a jewsploitation vibe thrown in! Which just makes it weirder. (and hopefully better)

[11] On Aug-11-2008, Matt wrote:

John, you are the most negative person I've come across since I started coming to this site. Eli Roth is slated to have a small role, so why give a damn? "Shaun of the Dead" was the best zombie movie in years and years, and Brad Pitt is a well-respected actor. Just because someone is frequently in the limelight doesn't mean they're not talented. And "Samuel L. Hackson"? What the hell is that? That's not even a good play on words.

Well the casting might be good but compared to the original idea of Madsen and (Tim) Roth being in the film was way better. These dogs from Reservoir have to be the dogs of WWII. Brad Pitt is okay and Leo DeCaprio would have been cool as a S.S Officer.

OT can out cast any person on this Earth.

Say what you want about Death Proof (which was exactly what QT said it'd be), but you must be some republican ass face to not be excited about this films premise. I'm not even Jewish and it sounds dope!

Eli roth as a bat swinging jew lunatic? Simon Pegg as an SS officer? Brad Pitt as a Hillbilly badass?

Crawl into your holes and try to hide from the shear brilliance QT is going to lay apon you.

He's going to melt your face.

"Shame of the Dead" of the dead is the best zombie film in years and years...

You really must be trying to convince yourself that it was good. I don't have to settle for the shit films that are supposedly good to morons like you. I have seen so many good films over the years that I will not compromise and convince myself that a movie is good. Once you have seen real art, a thinking person cannot look in the toilet of cinema and be ok with the shit that is floating in the bowl.

[15] On Aug-11-2008, Matt wrote:

John, I hope you're really satisfied with how cool you are in your head.

What's this "real art" you're talking about? Probably some pretentious arthouse shit that reflects you as a person? That's my best guess, at least. But seriously, I'd like to know what movies have elevated you above all of us simple morons, just by seeing its pictures and hearing its sounds.

Movies are a form of entertainment. Everything doesn't have to be "art."

[16] On Aug-11-2008, John wrote:

Lets put it this way, you and morons like you enjoy Kitsch. People who have brains sift through the Kitsch to find Art. Quentin once made Art. Some artists can't sustain their creativity. To bad QT has let others dull is creativity. I don't expect you to understand. Your a lost cause Matt. Goodbye

[17] On Aug-11-2008, Matt wrote:

...sounds like a cop-out of an answer to me. It also kind of sounds like you don't know what art even looks like on film, especially because Quentin Tarantino has never made an artful film. Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction were extremely entertaining films, but they were a far cry from art.

I'm a lost cause because when I ask for an explanation, you can't back yourself up? I wouldn't expect someone to understand me either if I was that uncertain and uncommitted to my beliefs to put forth a genuine explanation.

You want art? Watch some Kubrick or vintage Scorsese. If you're into the obscure, try some early David Lynch on for size, see how it fits. But Quentin Tarantino films are not artistic, not one bit. They are big, booming, bloody rollercoaster rides that are a great deal of fun and entertainment. Something people like you would describe as "kitsch."

By the way, smart guy, you spelled "you're" wrong.

Shaun of the Dead is a masterpiece.

Simon Pegg is considered as a British officer who aids the Bastards, not a SS bad guy. Just a minor correction there ;)

lets pray he gets some of his old friends in as well. Iīd really love to see Steve Buscemi again.

Oh, and Jim I think that Madsenīs Buchinsky is the guy who eventually turned into Aldo Raine. So I think yeah, Michael is out. :(

[19] On Aug-13-2008, The Jezzus wrote:

Juhan: Thanks for the correction.....

Matt just sonned John with one reply.

What about Nastassja Kinski (Klaus Kinski's daughter) playing basically herself on film. should be pretty cool.

I want to hear more casting news!

Brad Pitt is the best news so far though.

[20] On Aug-13-2008, The Jezzus wrote:

Another quick observation:

This will be Tarantino's first time doing a film that doesn't center around present the present time.

As a Tarantino fan we all know that he likes to link all his films together with references to other characters, places, and things.

You guy's know what I'm talking about. It will interesting to see how QT references the future tense in this flick.

[21] On Aug-20-2008, John wrote:

You must not like QT very much Matt. Maybe you should try the Eli Roth fan web sites. David Lynch was a nice touch, did you read in MAXIM that he was a artistic directer. Your knowledge of film is childish at best. Stick to what you know, Star Wars, Hostel, and SAW. If you don't even know what real art is then you should probably keep quiet. One more thing, spelling errors Matt? Get a life loser and try to do better next time.

[22] On Aug-20-2008, John wrote:

Sonned? My god, you are all pathetic nerds. Keep up the good work losers.
