Tarantino A Has-Been?

Quentin Tarantino versus Sylvester Stallone is being called,

"The Gunfight at the Has-Been Corral"

They are basically talking about Stallone's The Expendables versus QT's Inglourious Basterds. Yikes. This is one of the harshest mainstream press articles I've ever seen about Quentin. Get a load of this.
Tarantino's insistence on making his film became something of a joke. A journalist for The Irish Times quipped: "Inglorious Bastards, a war movie that may eventually resemble The irty Dozen merged with Cross of Iron, has been predicted more often than the second coming of the Lord."

The film is finally in production, with a cast that includes Brad Pitt and Samuel L Jackson, but already there are ructions because Tarantino wants to make it into two three-hour movies. After the Grindhouse fiasco, however, he is facing strong studio opposition.

I don't care what ANYONE says. Grindhouse, especially Death Proof, was amazing.

It should definitely be more popular than it is. Damn world and it's lack of taste.

This article contains some inaccuracies. The description of the IB storyline bears no resemblance to QT's script which leaked out on the Internet last summer.

Also, Tarantino's IB is not a remake or a "new version" of the original Inglorious Bastards. Tarantino appropriated the title of the older film only. (And then completely f'ed with the spelling.)

Also, does anyone know if QT really wants to split IB into two 3-hour movies? I don't think the script was nearly that long.

It sucks that Stallone's producing a similar project in the same year. But I can tell you right now that The Expendables won't be in the same ballpark, or the even the same league as Basterds.

That doesn't mean I won't go see both though.

A while ago he hinted at doing multiple parts or doing a mini-series format, but for a very long time now, it's been confirmed athat it'll be about as long as Pulp Fiction...

That journalist is a joke.

QT's a has-been? Yeah, the person who wrote that article is an idiot.

So I guess this guy thinks it's okay to just make stuff up, pull it out of his ass, and call himself a journalist?

Neither Stallone nor QT are has-beens.

The person who wrote the article is a never been who has just made up a story based on some rumors read over the last decade. Tarantino has settled on doing Basterds the traditional way i.e one film he's thought about 3 films , he's thought about a mini series ,he's now settled on being disciplined enough to make one movie. I would also like to offer an opinion on the spelling of the title as it's a source of derision , after hearing Brad Pitt say the title in character on a chat show the miss spelling of the title is nothing more than being spelt the way Aldo Raines say "inglourious Basterds" period that's it the people who say he's spelt it wrong he's illiterate are just plain stupid themselves they just haven't thought about it and jumped to stupid conclusions. I also agree Death Proof is awesome.
