The screenplay for Inglourious Basterds is still available from Amazon.

If you haven't already picked it up, Amazon has the single-disc DVD edition of Inglourious Basterds for $12.99.

Tarantino won the Critics' Circle Dilys Powell Award for Excellence, which I guess is kind of a consolation prize since they gave Director of the Year to Kathryn Bigelow for The Hurt Locker.

Upper Playground teamed up with Quentin Tarantino and SA Studios to release the "Lost Art of Inglourious Basterds" to benefit the victims of the Haiti Earthquake. On February 18th, 2010 from 6 - 9pm, the world will get to preview and purchase the "Lost Art of Inglourious Basterds" at The Upper Playground Art Gallery in Downtown Los Angeles.

Its a shame that this is an in-person event only. They could have sold a bunch of these unsigned over the net for $5 or $10 each.

Congrats to for Christoph Waltz for winning the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Inglourious Basterds.

QT says that depending on how Basterds does at the awards shows, we may get a prequel/sequel out of the deal - he's already got 40 pages of prequel material written.

Thought you might enjoy some of the hate mail I get for having the nerve to run a website about a guy making movies.

I am guessing your website is all about Quentin Tarintino,

I saw 'Inglorious Basterds',
was bored by the dialog, and sickened by the violence.

Mr Tarintino seems to take every opportunity to show this..and he should be arrested, or committed to an asylum,
and yet, you dedicate your precious time maintaining a website in in his honor.

In this particular movie it seems that the audience were meant to relate to or support the 'heros' regular mutilation and reveling in taking human life.

Do you notice that so often in Quentins movies the 'good' guys take some pleasue in revenge, or laugh at someones pain or misfortune ?
This is not what a good soldier, hero, or ordinary person ever does.

Quentin is unintentionally revealing his sadistic nature, he is emotionally defective, an idiot psychotic.

And yet, you pathetic worms, dedicate a website to the morbid, uninspiring tripe that he regularly vomits onto the screen.
You are participating in his self absorbed, violent fantasy.

You disgust me.
You should be ashamed of yourselves.
You are the enemies of humanity, worse than Nazis ever were.

So I'm worse than the Nazi's, but he's the one advocating that Tarantino be arrested for filming fictional violence. Just can't make this shit up.

Ingllouious Basterds is going to be the #1 movie this weekend with about $35m in sales.

That also makes it Tarantino's biggest opening weekend ever.

BigGeoff from CineFOOLS got to attend the Sydney premiere of Inglourious Bastards and has posted a very positive review.

Harry Knowles and the fine folks at AICN are reporting that a top secret (well...that is...top secret until now) screening of the shorter, more stream-lined, American-audiences-cut of INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS will be available for screening for a select few attendees of everyone's favorite comic and media convention in San Diego this Saturday, July 25th.

QT tells critics what he thinks of them. This is exactly the kind of attitude a public figure, in any field, has to have to remain successful.

I respect criticism. But I know more about film than most of the people writing about me. Not only that, I'm a better writer than most of the people writing about me. And I can write film criticism better than most of the people writing about me. [My goal was] to get the biggest standing ovation of the festival, and I got it [...] Sometimes it's your time to be Elvis, and that was my time.

Nasty rumor that the Weinstein Co. is trying to trim 40 minutes from the Cannes version of Inglourious Basterds before it gets released in the US.

The NY Post and the Daily Mail both have articles today about Inglourious Basterds.

The plot goes from broad comedy to outright horror. An insider said: "The Nazis really get their comeuppance. It's a big change from all the downbeat Holocaust films over the holidays," referring to "The Reader," "Valkyrie," "Defiance," "Good," "Adam Resurrected" and "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas."

Hitler + Cape = Best WWII Movie Ever.

Looks like our first look at the Inglourious Basterds trailer might come this Thursday on Entertainment Tonight.

The German Federal Film Fund has given Inglourious Basterds $8.7m as part of its efforts to boost the movie industry in Germany. Its interesting that a federal government would pony up this type of cash to give to a money-making enterprise.

So, I was wondering aboutwhen the official posters for Inglourious Basterds might show up today and I see that All Posters isn't carrying any of the Kill Bill posters.

Defamer has a behind-the-scenes video from Inglourious Basterds with QT showing the proper way to spit a drink.

Italian composer Ennio Morricone will do the music for Inglourious Basterds - well, at least as much as he has time to do.

"Tarantino will finish shooting the film in February and has to deliver it by the end of April in time for Cannes," says the famously meticulous maestro from his Rome home. "That doesn't leave me enough time to do the music. Either I start working on it before he stops shooting - after we discuss it together - or I just can't do it."

Back in July of 2007, I began to worry about Inglourious Basterds due to the announcement of a Dirty Dozen re-make. But it appears that the Dirty Dozen folks weren't counting on Quentin's suddenly quick pace to get Basterds finished and now they've delayed production on Dirty Dozen.-.
