Turns out, Germans really do count to three with their thumb.
New Django Unchained poster has been released.
Love the tag line: Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Vengeance
Django Unchained is on the cover of Fangoria magazine this month. Gruesome picture.
Variety has a pretty long (for them) article about Quentin Tarantino’s directing style. Its an interesting inside look at his methods and how the actors involved perceive them.
“The first thing he does is clear the entire set of all crew, and you just run the scene until you’ve got it down, and everyone feels their movement and behavior are natural in the space,” Roth says. “His movies are so detailed and beautifully composed, you feel like he has a graphic novel in his head. But it’s the opposite. All the camerawork is determined by the actors.”
Meanwhile, the John Schlesinger Award for Artistic Excellence in Directing was presented to Quentin Tarantino — the first American ever to take an award that has recently been handed to the likes of Christopher Nolan, Danny Boyle and Anthony Minghella.
I doubt Disney had any interest in him either. A Tarantino Star Wars would be an odd experience indeed.
Christoph Waltz has been repositioned as a lead actor for Django Unchained - which I agree with. Based on the script he seems the central character for most of the film. Perhaps his moving out of the supporting actor category opens up some room for Samuel L Jackson of Leonardo DiCaprio to get a nomination.
Really? Someone is surprised that Django Unchained is going to be 3 hours long. Question: how can anyone who has seen a QT movie be surprised that his newest would be long.
Great video of a toddler dressed as the Bride from Kill Bill in her iconic yellow track suit.
Not your typical trilogy though, as QT says Inglourious Basterds was Part 1. Think of the films more of as companion pieces than a true trilogy.
